Lauren Mirow Blankenship

Lauren’s work combines painting, video, and social art practices.

Originally from Dena’ina Ełnena land (Alaska), her paintings are influenced by the ecosystems, aerial viewpoints, and dramatic nature distortion such as earthquakes, fires, and logging.

Her conceptual works look at gender, gaining entry to inaccessible environments, exploring relationship dynamics, and site-specific exploration.

She has exhibited at the White House Visitor Center in DC, the Portland Art Museum, and in group shows at Portland State University.

Lauren lives and works on Kalapuya Land (Salem, Oregon).
